We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our dynamic and growing Business Case team. In this role you will support clients in authoring HM Treasury Green Book compliant business cases for major Defence programmes, demonstrating value‑for‑money and strategic alignment. You will have experience in developing business cases in the defence sector with an understanding of the full business case lifecycle from Project Initiation to Full Business Case.
This role will require you to be comfortable producing documentation and supporting annexes, coordinating diverse and challenging stakeholders and to have excellent attention to detail. Each client we work with has unique requirements, challenges, and goals, which means no two projects are ever the same.
We work closely with public and private sector defence clients to understand requirements and develop bespoke business cases for real world issues, communicating complex information pragmatically to develop robust evidence for business case approval and project funding. Our Business Case team is part of Real Estate Advisory and works extensively in the defence sector.

- Able to conduct in‑depth research and analysis including benchmarking, industry analysis and development of charts and graphs to visually represent data.
Qualifications
- Proven experience authoring strategic documentation in the defence sector including Business Cases.
- Knowledge of the HM Treasury Green Book 5‑Case Model. Better Business Case accreditation a bonus.
- Knowledge of the UK Defence Sector. An understanding of recent legislation, policies and procurement activities would be desirable.
- Effective communicator who listens and understands client needs.
- Security Clearance (SC) or willingness to attain clearance.
- Demonstrable leadership potential and experience in delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Financially literate, with the ability to conduct financial analysis and appraise investment options.
- Proficient at using tools like Excel and Power BI for data analysis.
- Understanding of benefits management or requirements management.
- Proficient at business generation with evidence of identifying opportunities and preparing compelling proposals.
- Commercial awareness.
