Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced associate cost manager/commercial manager to support our prestigious infrastructure-based projects. The candidate will bring expertise in cost management, conduct challenging conversations with a consultative approach, and bring the best out of teams and clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders.
- Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
- Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
- Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
- Manage contract changes effectively, ensuring governance and best practice adoption.
- Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
- Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Lead people and commissions as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven cost/commercial management experience.
- Preferably MRICS.
- Experience with NEC3 contracts, particularly Option C – Target Cost.
- Post-contract administration experience.
- Experience on major programmes and projects.
- Experience on infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways).
- Experience leading and managing teams.
