Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced associate cost manager/commercial manager to support our prestigious infrastructure-based projects. The candidate will bring expertise in cost management, conduct challenging conversations with a consultative approach, and bring the best out of teams and clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders.
  • Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
  • Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  • Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Manage contract changes effectively, ensuring governance and best practice adoption.
  • Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts.
  • Lead people and commissions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven cost/commercial management experience.
  • Preferably MRICS.
  • Experience with NEC3 contracts, particularly Option C – Target Cost.
  • Post-contract administration experience.
  • Experience on major programmes and projects.
  • Experience on infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways).
  • Experience leading and managing teams.
