Within the Real Estate Programme Services division at Turner & Townsend, the Real Estate Advisory team comprises experts in workplace consulting, change management, corporate real estate, and facilities management. We deliver some of the world's largest programmes and projects for a market-leading client base across both the public and private sectors. Are you a security professional with a passion for working on the world's most impactful programmes? If so, a Specialist Security Advisor role with Turner & Townsend may be just for you. In this role we are looking to grow our diverse team with individuals who have prior consulting experience or experience as the key security contact in large scale organisations and programmes. Individuals looking to apply should have demonstrable skills in areas including information security, supply chain security and cyber security.
As a Specialist Security Advisor you will advise clients, architects, engineers, suppliers and project managers on the best approaches to manage security risk in capital programmes across a range of sectors including life sciences, defence, datacentres and infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities- Engage with clients to identify and manage security risks throughout the different phases of capital programmes.
- Provide mitigation solutions against security threats.
- Review and assure architecture, design and implementation to identify threats & risks.
- Offer clear, structured guidance and advice to strengthen security.
- Take part in design assurance sessions to identify, manage and mitigate security risks.
- 'Build security in' to complex programmes.
- Knowledge and experience of developing information security strategy, plans and governance.
- Demonstrable knowledge and application of recognised security assurance frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, GovAssure, NIST CSF or NIS2.
- Appreciation of Cyber Security standards, requirements and implementation.
- Experience in supply chain security assurance, governance and engagement.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate technical information into actionable business language for communications with key stakeholders.
- Experience as a subject matter expert within major projects/programmes.
- Security qualifications in your area of expertise.
- Have held, or an ability to obtain UK Government Security clearance.
- Prior consulting experience.
- Understanding of the RIBA plan of work and the delivery of security within the built environment.
- A UK Government security clearance.
- Experience in one of Turner & Townsend's key sectors.
- Knowledge of any of the following security standards and frameworks: GovS 007, Cyber Essentials, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, GovAssure, NIS2.
- CSyP.
- CSSIP.
- ISO auditor (ISO 27001).
- Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Security, or Risk.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
