Job Description

We are looking for an Expert/Senior Microsoft SharePoint Developer with proven experience designing, developing, deploying and maintaining SharePoint on-premises solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement custom SharePoint solutions for SharePoint 2016, 2019 and Subscription Edition.
  • Develop modern client-side applications and components using SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Build and maintain integrations between SharePoint and external systems using REST APIs and related technologies.
  • Develop solutions using SharePoint CSOM and JSOM technologies.
  • Support the maintenance, enhancement and modernisation of existing SharePoint customisations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration and performance issues.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, testing, deployment and production support activities.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with project teams, technical stakeholders and end users to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements

  • Senior Microsoft SharePoint Developer: Minimum 5 years of experience developing and supporting SharePoint solutions.
  • Expert Microsoft SharePoint Developer: Minimum 10 years of experience designing, building, deploying and maintaining SharePoint solutions.

Essential Experience

  • SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Subscription Edition.
  • Enterprise SharePoint development and solution delivery.
  • Custom SharePoint application development.
  • Client-side SharePoint development and integrations.
  • Working within structured project delivery environments.

Technical Skills

  • SharePoint Technologies: SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Client Object Model (CSOM), SharePoint JavaScript Object Model (JSOM), SharePoint REST APIs, Front-end integration with SharePoint, SharePoint customisation and extensibility.
  • Development Technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Svelte, HTML5, CSS3, JSON.
  • Tooling & Development Environment: Visual Studio Code or equivalent, Nodejs (LTS), npm or pnpm, Vite, ESLint and Prettier, Browser Developer Tools, Git-based source control systems.

  • Effective use of Git-based source control and branching strategies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
  • Secure handling of client-side configuration and application settings.
  • Awareness of logging, monitoring and error-handling best practices.
  • Production of clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Commitment to delivering secure, maintainable and supportable solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively within Agile and collaborative delivery teams.
