We are looking for a Senior Planner to join our Infrastructure, Project Controls team based in Scotland, supporting high‑profile projects in energy, defence, rail, airports, highways, water and utilities.
The Senior Planner will work as part of a Project Controls team, providing performance reporting and analysis support. The role may involve working with cost and planning engineers, developing work breakdown structures, establishing progress and cost monitoring methods, producing project control reports and providing performance analysis and recommendations to clients.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with cost and planning engineers to develop work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines.
- Establish progress and cost monitoring methods for projects.
- Produce project control reports and perform performance analysis.
- Provide recommendations to improve project performance.
- Act as key day‑to‑day contact point with the client when required.
- Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
- Degree‑educated with prior industry and sector experience (required).
- Previous experience in a project controls environment within the infrastructure sector (energy, defence, rail, airports, highways, water/utilities).
- Experience in at least one of: Programme Controls Management, Earned Value Management (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, Project Controls, or PMO.
- Proficiency with Oracle Primavera, MS Project, Excel or PRISM (Cost Management System).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Rigorous adherence to documented processes and governance.
- Innovative mindset to meet evolving project challenges.
- Current security clearance is ideal for Defence sector projects.
