Façade engineering blends artistry, science, and engineering to create effective, visually appealing, and sustainable building enclosures. The performance of a building's exterior walls is crucial, significantly impacting its functionality and overall value. It's a complex and high-stakes area, and at CBRE, our team of façade experts and engineering specialists are at the forefront, ensuring optimal and sustainable performance.

This two-year program is designed for ambitious graduates looking to specialize in Façade Engineering. We support your professional growth and offer opportunities to gain an MSc in Façade Engineering through UWE or towards your membership with the Society of Façade Engineering.

As a Façade Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Investigating and diagnosing façade issues through detailed inspections.
  • Contributing to effective maintenance and replacement strategies.
  • Advising on design and performance metrics.
  • Guiding clients on compliance, risk management, and achieving ambitious environmental standards, maximizing value.

Qualifications

  • Academic Credentials: A degree in the one of the following subjects: Architectural Technology, Architectural Engineering, Building Physics, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering (achieved or on track for a 2:1 minimum) or an MSc in Façade Engineering.
  • Technical Acumen: An understanding of the technical aspects of building surveying, coupled with a genuine interest in the real estate and built environment.
