We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Leeds. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the successful delivery of complex Mechanical & Electrical (M & E) projects from inception through completion. You will demonstrate exceptional leadership, analytical prowess, and collaborative spirit whilst managing stakeholders, budgets, and timelines with precision and transparency.   • Manage overall project costs, schedules, and budgets, ensuring financial discipline and value for money throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and coordinate General Contractors, subcontractors, and directly contracted consultants, fostering collaborative relationships and maintaining transparent communication.
  • Analyse, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities and dependencies to prevent schedule slippage and maintain project momentum.
  • Conduct and lead client meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions, presenting clear updates and addressing concerns with professionalism and assertiveness.
  • Oversee MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, building regulations, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) data to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans and innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Support and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in project management, with at least 5 years managing MEP or building services projects.
  • Proven expertise in managing project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building services, and construction methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and vendor/consultant coordination.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional people skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational abilities and time-keeping discipline.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Professional qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM, or PMP.
  • Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and associated software.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and site compliance procedures.
  • Experience in the commercial, industrial, or residential construction sectors.
  • Familiarity with cost estimation and value engineering principles.
  • Track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
