Our project finance and business case advisory team support clients in developing, implementing, and optimising procurement and funding strategies for greener and sustainable fit to meet Net Zero targets. Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the factors influencing major programme set up, development and delivery at different stages in the programme lifecycle.
  • Contributing to the assessment of a business challenge, the development of an ‘optimal’ solution and implementation of that solution.
  • Deploying established processes, tools, and systems, tailoring these to suit specific circumstances.
  • Using strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to support successful business outcomes.
  • Presenting ideas and outputs in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
  • Operating as part of a multi-disciplined team providing a holistic professional advisory service.
  • Being accountable for the quality of work and delivering excellent client care.
  • Sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues through communities of practice, social media channels and workshops.
  • Identifying, contributing to and progressing business generation opportunities.
  • Flexibility to travel.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Masters or MBA qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience of project finance and/or business case development preferably in de‑carbonisation and Net Zero, Renewable energy, Defence, or Water.
  • Experience of working with the public sector, managing transactions/projects in a public sector delivery setting.
  • Understanding of UK policy guidance development and implementation of economic benefit assessment.
  • Experience in technologies and services in de‑carbonisation and Net Zero.
  • Understanding of project finance and the role private capital plays in infrastructure development.
  • PPP/PFI experience (in particular PFI Handback).
  • Effective management experience within a multi stakeholder environment.
  • Demonstrable capability as an influencer within commercial / procurement environments.
  • Robust analytical skills, adaptable and a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening, presentation, and written communication.
  • A natural gravitas in dealings with clients.
  • Able to prepare, define and lead on bid proposals.

Other Essential Requirements:

  • Candidates will be required to hold, or be able to hold, valid security clearance (SC).
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role.
