Overview
Turner & Townsend is one of the leading consultancy providers to the Infrastructure sector.
We have a thriving UK Estimating team that supports a large number of clients in the UK and overseas.
We are looking for Associate Directors and Project Directors with proven estimating leadership skills to work with key Defence sector clients across the South East, South West and Midlands on a variety of exciting projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or manage the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects and programmes.
- Play a leading role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
- Lead in the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Stay abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise.
- Support or lead bids for new work.
- Provide direction to staff on specific tasks.
- Act as a role model for less experienced staff.
- Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
- Develop new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Identify and act upon cross‑selling opportunities.
- Manage staff where appropriate.
- Maintain knowledge management practices.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role and will be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven estimating leadership experience.
- Defence sector estimating experience.
- Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
- Previous experience working with estimating software packages.
- Desirable membership of RICS or CIOB.
- Experience working on major programmes and projects.
- Experience in the Defence sector.
- Experience leading and managing teams.
