We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our Digital Services team and coordinate the delivery of internal technology, infrastructure, security and business change initiatives across our organisation. This is an internal project delivery role and not a client-facing consultancy position. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating project delivery, schedules, risks, governance, stakeholder engagement and reporting across a varied portfolio of technology initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of projects, operational improvements and change initiatives across Internal Digital Services.
- Maintain delivery plans, milestones, actions, risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring progress is tracked and managed effectively.
- Act as a central coordination point between technical teams, operational stakeholders, suppliers and leadership.
- Prepare and maintain project and operational reporting, dashboards and management information.
- Support governance forums, working groups and leadership meetings, ensuring decisions and actions are captured and followed through to completion.
- Coordinate resource requirements, implementation activities and operational readiness across multiple workstreams.
- Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and blockers that could impact successful delivery.
- Support supplier engagement and delivery coordination where required.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of technology, infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and service improvement initiatives.
- Drive consistency, governance and continuous improvement across delivery and operational processes.
- Provide day-to-day support to senior management, helping coordinate priorities, track delivery commitments and maintain oversight across the Digital Services portfolio.
Qualifications:
- Experience delivering or coordinating IT projects, technology initiatives or business change activities.
- Experience working within structured project delivery methodologies.
- Professional Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent), or working towards one.
- Strong understanding of project governance, planning, risk and issue management.
- Experience managing actions, dependencies and delivery activities across multiple workstreams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience producing project reporting, dashboards and management information.
- Good understanding of IT services, technology delivery and implementation projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Planner and Project.
- Ability to work effectively within regulated, governance-driven or security-conscious environments.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working within Defence, Government or other highly regulated sectors.
- Experience delivering Microsoft 365, cloud, cyber security or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working within secure or sovereign technology environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, NIST or similar governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
- Experience supporting operational technology services and internal digital platforms.
- Existing Security Clearance (SC) or higher.
