Overview
In this Risk Manager role, you will support senior risk leads on diverse energy and nuclear-related projects, capturing and analyzing risk data to inform cost and schedule decisions.
You’ll drive risk processes, workshops, and registers, ensuring threats and opportunities are tracked and mitigated to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
The position offers exposure to frontier projects within a global firm and a clear path to influence project outcomes in a growth-focused division.

Responsibilities
- Plan, tailor and implement risk management processes for projects
- Facilitate risk workshops with SMEs
- Create and maintain risk registers and related data
- Improve quality of risk data and challenge inputs
- Drive mitigation actions across projects and programmes
- Develop measurable management responses for post-mitigation positions
- Conduct Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) for cost/schedule impacts
- Demonstrate competency with tools like Safran, @risk, PRA
- Produce timely risk reports using Power Point, Word, Excel, and Power BI
- Collaborate with Project Controls to align project information
- Engage with supply chain to incorporate external risks
- Key requirements
- Professional risk management experience across project lifecycles
- Nuclear sector experience desirable but not essential
- Ability to adjust risk strategies in response to change
- Strong communication skills to convey complex risk information
- Familiarity with risk software: Safran, @risk, PRA
- Strategic thinking and risk scenario analysis
- BPSS clearance would be required
- Membership of a professional body (e. g., IRM, APM)
- Familiarity with ISO31000/APM/Orange Book/Mo R and related standards
- Experience in Project Controls and stakeholder management
