Overview
In this Defence Logistics role, you will shape integrated logistics support for major infrastructure programmes. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to set up governance, asset tracking, and delivery planning capabilities, helping clients de-risk delivery and realise Defence capability. You’ll develop and implement innovative logistics strategies while mentoring others and supporting business development. Responsibilities
- Collaborate in an integrated project team to deliver key client outputs
- Design and run client workshops and presentations
- Manage client relationships and service delivery expectations
- Identify and realise business development opportunities
- Contribute to bid proposals and tender responses
- Support internal initiatives such as programme integration methodologies
- Mentor and possibly line-manage junior staff
- Provide strategic consultancy on logistics and supply chain management
- Develop and implement innovative logistics strategies to boost efficiency
- Advise on best practices in logistics operations including transport, warehousing, and distribution
- Analyze clients’ logistics processes to identify improvements
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to tailor logistics solutions
- Support the creation of logistics proposals and client presentations
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards in logistics operations
- Contribute to an integrated best-in-class construction/logistics delivery planning service offer
Key requirements
- Knowledge of logistics principles and processes (S&OP, JIT)
- Understanding of planning and development of major projects
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations, RIBA stages, and NEC4 options
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Commitment to continuous learning and development

- Excellent presentation skills
