Our Programme Advisory team specializes in the strategy, set-up and transformation of major programmes and asset owning enterprises within the transport, defence, utilities, and power sectors in the UK and internationally. We are seeking enthusiastic Consultants (from mid-senior level) to join our dynamic team within Programme Advisory. Key Responsibilities
- Providing end to end strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and governance of business strategic goals and objectives, benefits realisation and requirements management across major programmes.
- Represent the benefit and requirements function in governance boards and programme reviews.
- Influence senior stakeholders and facilitate decision-making at the executive level by providing strategic direction for the benefits and requirements management within the organisation.
- Designing and facilitating high-impact client workshops and executive briefings.
- Lead workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements elicitation sessions whilst advising clients on best practices on validation, traceability, and change control and systems engineering.
- Leading the integration of benefits and requirements management cross functional with programme planning, design and engineering, assurance, and delivery functions.
- Oversee the use of requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or equivalent to manage complex requirements sets.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and sponsors.
- Lead business development initiatives, including major bids and strategic partnerships.
- Mentor and develop internal capability in requirements management and systems thinking.
- Contribute to the evolution of Turner & Townsend’s Programme Integration methodologies and thought leadership.
- Support or lead requirements management, including elicitation, documentation, verification, validation, and traceability across the project lifecycle.
- Drive benefits and requirements management processes on complex programmes, ensuring alignment with client goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, operations, and stakeholders) to gather, analyse, and validate technical requirements.
- Maintain requirements documentation, traceability matrices, and change control processes using tools like IBM DOORS, Jama, or ADO-MR.
- Design and facilitate client workshops, stakeholder interviews, and presentations to align on objectives and solutions.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
- Contribute to programme integration methodologies and best practices, sharing your expertise to elevate our approach.
- Support bid proposals and business development efforts to grow our impact.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and building team capability.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a consulting or advisory role, ideally within infrastructure or major capital programmes.
- Degree qualified in a relevant field.
- Proven track record of leading requirements management at a strategic level across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Understanding of requirements engineering standards (e.g., ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148) and hands-on experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, JIRA).
- Experience in programme and/or portfolio management, governance, and assurance.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Sector experience in infrastructure, transportation, utilities, defence, or related fields.
