Turner & Townsend’s Digital Advisory business is growing and building capability to meet our 2030 Strategy. We are seeking experienced SC Cleared Digital Advisory Consulting Managers with a proven track record, specialising in either Asset Intensive Industries, Built Environment, Energy & Natural Resources or Defence. Knowledge of PMIS systems, ERP systems and agile tooling is advantageous. The role is focused on proactive, driven individuals with an appetite and capability in the following areas:
- Service delivery excellence – Transformation Management, Digital Strategy & Insights, Technology Advisory, or Enterprise Architecture.
- Business Generation capability – Bid management/writing, proposal development, lead generation.
- People & Operations – People management, coaching, mentorship and training.
- Service development – Digital Strategy productisation, Playbook development, Insights and Benchmarking database management.
The team offers a wide range of commissions covering the UK. Candidates would be expected to travel up to 2‑3 days per week supporting the delivery of the commissions. As a global business we deliver projects anywhere in the world, so future flexibility would be advantageous.
Key Requirements
- Provide Digital & Technology Strategy expertise; support development of Digital Strategy, Advisory and Transformation service offering; guide junior colleagues; develop new commercial service opportunities.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills; adapt to and embed into different client environments; identify and communicate with key stakeholders and liaise between business departments and groups.
- Engage with clients, lead workshops, assess options for process improvement including process modelling; familiar with the requirements‑management lifecycle.
- Have experience in Digital Strategy & Transformation projects via Agile and/or Waterfall project development teams.
- Have experience in digital transformation; gather, review and analyse business and industry data including KPIs, financial reports and other key metrics using data analytics tools.
- Understand technical solution capabilities; use platforms such as Power BI, SQL, Power Platform, SharePoint and MS Projects; elicit and translate technical requirements from non‑technical stakeholders to a team of data specialists.
- Hold an existing SC Clearance.
SCOPE
Consultants will work within our Digital consulting team, may also operate within wider Turner & Townsend project teams from other business units, and will need to interact with clients and other project stakeholders. They will support a wide range of projects of all sizes and dimensions, and may work with consultants from different agencies.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Deliver high‑impact digital transformation programmes across strategic sectors such as Energy & Natural Resources, Defence, Infrastructure and Government.
- Act as a trusted adviser to clients on digital strategy, technology adoption and enterprise architecture.
- Contribute to business growth through proactive lead generation, bid management and proposal development.
- Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Shape and enhance Turner & Townsend’s digital service offerings through productisation and knowledge management.
- Lead client engagements in Digital Strategy & Insights, Technology Advisory, Transformation Management and Enterprise Architecture.
- Define and implement digital roadmaps aligned with client objectives.
- Ensure delivery quality, client satisfaction and measurable outcomes.
- Drive lead generation and identify new opportunities within target sectors.
- Manage and contribute to bid writing/management, proposal development and client presentations in line with best practice.
- Build strong client relationships to support repeat business and long‑term partnerships through strategic account development.
- Manage and develop a team of consultants, providing coaching, mentorship and training.
- Support resource planning and operational efficiency within the digital advisory practice.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Contribute to digital strategy productisation and development of playbooks.
- Maintain and enhance insights and benchmarking databases to support client engagements.
- Innovate and refine service offerings to meet evolving market needs.
- Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications
- Good analytic and strong numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations.
- Excellent Microsoft Office experience is required.
- Degree in an analytic subject or MBA (advantageous).
- Business Analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA (desirable) or extensive experience considered.
