Due to ongoing demand in the flood risk management sector, we are looking for Senior Project Managers to support our clients in delivering a wide range of high-profile projects, to be leaders in the industry and help mentor and develop the future generation of Project Managers. You would be based in your most local Midlands office and likely spend your time with colleagues and client teams based across the Midlands region.

Senior Project Managers at Turner & Townsend work on a broad range of projects and programmes in the flood risk management sector, including:

  • Fluvial and coastal flood risk management
  • Erosion management
  • Nature-based solutions
  • SuDS
  • Environmental improvement
  • Asset management

We are looking for individuals with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Has led or had significant responsibility in project/programme delivery for either interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary projects, preferably in the flood risk management and environmental sectors for projects typically between £2m to £15m across the project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of working with the NEC contract management suite, particularly the PSC and ECC forms of contract.
  • Excellent leadership skills, capable of developing teams and leading others in challenging environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with a diverse range of personalities.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.
  • Drive and commitment to achieving solutions, including the ability to work under pressure and motivate others.
  • Planning, communication and organisational skills.
  • Able to lead, manage and develop project teams on large projects or programmes.
  • Creative, curious and growth mindset.

Beneficial Experience:

  • Experience of flood risk management and/or environmental outcomes project management for projects typically between £2m to £15m.
  • Experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts.
  • Experience of commercial management and working with commercial functions.
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with public sector organisations relevant to infrastructure.
  • Knowledge and experience of sustainability principles.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or HND qualification in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional affiliation, qualification or near qualified status with the APM, ICE, CIWEM, or similar professional institution.
  • Project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/MSP).
  • NEC PM Accreditations or qualifications.
  • CDM Awareness.
