Consultant / Senior Consultant – Real Estate Advisory

We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our dynamic and growing Real Estate Advisory team. In this role you will help clients think strategically about how their buildings could be used to transform the way they work. This might involve discussions with key decision‑makers to better understand their strategy and vision for the future; using data to provide cutting‑edge analysis of real estate portfolios; or developing robust business cases to unlock critical funding opportunities.

The Real Estate Advisory team works nationwide across the health, education, defence, local government, central government and commercial sectors, helping clients unlock the full potential of their real estate assets through Estate Strategies, Business Cases, Real Estate Asset Management and Workplace Consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Conduct in‑depth research and analysis (e.g., feasibility studies) to support business cases and estate solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on latest real estate and sector trends.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high‑quality, timely, and budget‑compliant solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to identify new opportunities and prepare compelling proposals.

Qualifications

  • Essential: In‑depth knowledge of the UK Real Estate industry.
  • Essential: 2–5 years experience in consultancy or client‑side environment.
  • Essential: Proven experience authoring strategic documentation (Business Cases/ Estate Strategies).
  • Essential: Knowledge of the HM Treasury Green Book 5‑Case Model.
  • Essential: Knowledge of and track record within at least one of the following industries – Defence, Local Government, Central Government, Healthcare, Education, Commercial – including relevant legislation, policies, and procurement.
  • Essential: Effective communicator who listens and understands client needs.
  • Desirable: Relevant industry qualification or degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Surveying or similar.
  • Desirable: Security Clearance (SC) or willingness to attain clearance.
  • Desirable: Demonstrable leadership abilities and experience in managing teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Desirable: Financial literacy and ability to conduct financial analysis and appraise investment options.
  • Desirable: Proficiency with Excel and Power BI for data analysis.
  • Desirable: Understanding of benefits management.

Additional Information

Must be flexible to travel as required and able to work across a range of sectors. Turner & Townsend has a hybrid working policy.
