We have several exciting opportunities for project-management professionals to join our expanding Real Estate team in Manchester.
Responsibilities- Lead project-management commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.
- Act as the key, day-to-day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time, cost and quality targets.
- Project managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, normally up to £40m. Where the service is advisory (for example, urban regeneration funding), the overall project size may be larger.
- Advise at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including advice on the different approaches that can be adopted to achieve the client’s objectives.
- Lead the establishment of overall success criteria – time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
- Plan for and manage quality, safety, health and environmental issues.
- Establish effective governance, processes and systems for the project.
- Plan and produce a detailed project plan.
- Advise on procurement of resources.
- Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team.
- Monitor and apply performance-management techniques, including KPIs.
- Manage the change-control process.
- Monitor and advise on project finances.
- Manage the flow of information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications.
- Produce formal project progress and other reports.
- Take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (desirable).
- Proven experience managing construction/refurbishment projects, ideally in a consultancy environment (essential).
