Job Description We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate a number or all of the following points, in relation to Heat Network (HN) and wider Distributed Energy (DE) projects or programmes. By Distributed Energy we refer to distributed, flexible, resilient and low to zero carbon heat and power networks, systems and resources, Distributed Energy (DE) resources, including, but not limited to, heat networks, solar Photovoltaics (PV), heat pumps, energy storage, demand side flexibility, smart and vehicle-to-grid charging for electric vehicles. Experience of project development (scoping, business case, finance, high level technical – but consultant rather than engineer) for schemes involving heat networks, local energy networks/smart grid including battery storage, potentially including integrating with home EV charging/car battery storage. This role sits within our wider Sustainability Team which specialises in helping to measure, manage and reduce energy consumption and associated carbon emissions, as well as wider environmental sustainability considerations. We also provide wider energy and sustainability consultancy to housing associations, the public sector and commercial businesses. Our services include: Development of carbon management strategies, including net zero strategies; Carbon footprinting and greenhouse gas reporting; Implementation of management systems including ISO 50001. Qualifications We are looking for experienced talents to join our growing team, bringing in further specialism of HN and DE across a range of commissions. A high quality of service delivery and client management Consultancy experience within DE and HN projects Successful track record in facilitating and delivering DE schemes across a variety of client organisations and achievement in meeting project or programme KPIs Track record in overcoming barriers to DE through one or more project stages like; Delivery of projects Excellent customer relationship development capability Have a good grasp of metering and billing regulations and awareness of Government policy surrounding HN CP1, Building Regulations Part L Development of energy strategies and master planning for DE Ability to carry out DE data analysis To support this we promote a healthy, productive and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance.
