b Overview /b p As an Engineering Design Manager in our Real Estate team, you will lead multidisciplinary design input across critical infrastructure projects, ensuring designs are buildable, compliant, and innovative. You’ll collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to guide the design process from concept through delivery, embedding safety and sustainability. You’ll drive practical engineering solutions that meet regulatory and operational needs while coordinating interfaces across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical domains. This role offers exposure to high-profile sectors and a supportive, growth-focused environment. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li great place to work /li li flexible working environment /li li focus on work-life balance /li li inclusive environment /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Manage external design consultants and contractors under contract terms, ensuring duties are fulfilled and issues escalated as needed /li li Lead technical assurance, review constructability, and manage design interfaces across multi-disciplinary teams /li li Coordinate with engineers, stakeholders, and design coordinators to deliver project solutions to required design levels /li li Collaborate with Clients, Engineering Managers, Project Managers, Contractors and Consultants on project issues, scope changes, and risks /li li Advance innovative, practical, and sustainable engineering solutions that meet client, operational and regulatory requirements /li li Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into all design outputs /li li Ensure integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical functions /li li Ensure constructability, maintainability and reliability across the asset lifecycle /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Minimum 5 years’ experience managing design through full project lifecycle across sectors and procurement routes /li li Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and consultant performance management /li li Knowledge and experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and common data environments /li li Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor) /li li Chartered Engineer status with ICE, IStructE or similar (preferred) /li li Passion for construction and client satisfaction with high standards /li li Practical knowledge of construction work types, methods and design solutions /li li Experience with CAD (AutoCAD or Revit) /li li Excellent communication skills with clients and staff /li li Self-driven, results-oriented with positive outlook /li li People and time management, and project design management skills /li /ul ul li communication /li li collaboration /li li stakeholder management /li li BIM /li li AutoCAD /li li Revit /li /ul
