Join Turner & Townsend as a Senior Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor, focusing on NEC contracts within our UK Energy & Natural Resources business.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish professional relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in projects and programmes.
- Administer a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and company policies.
- Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
- Pro‑actively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct submissions.
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver project KPIs and objectives, including programme performance, cost control and value engineering.
- Manage contract change effectively, keeping projects within governance and adopting best practice.
- Drive improvements in forecast and budget accuracy.
- Offer commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
- Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
- Manage commission when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Contract Management experience (NEC3 preferred).
- Change management, cost management and change control expertise.
- Valuation, procurement, estimating and pricing proficiency.
- Reporting, governance processing and collaborative approach.
- Experience in best project attitudes and sharing best practice.
- Line management and commission management experience.
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Appropriate professional body membership or progress toward one.
