Job Description

Turner & Townsend are seeking a Finance Analyst to support their delivery of works in Defence. The role sits within a fast-moving vibrant team that provide support to a range of projects and joint ventures. The individual will be a self-starter, who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders and brings financial process delivery experience and excel capability.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

  • To carry out all financial administration related to Turner & Townsend Defence projects, in liaison with the Finance Manager.
  • Manage and analyse a high volume of sales invoices with acute attention to detail.
  • Supporting with Project set-up on D365.
  • Chasing aged debts to ensure timely cash collection and reconciliation for all cash receipts.
  • Check, reconcile and receipt supplier invoices.
  • Gather data from various sources, including databases and spreadsheets. Ensure data is accurate, complete, and properly formatted.
  • Present financial data to stakeholders clearly and concisely using visualisations, dashboards and reports.
  • Coordinate collation of timesheets, project deliverables and client approvals to support invoicing.
  • Prepare Purchase orders and Sub-contract agreements.
  • Dealing first-hand with financial/project queries from the client and suppliers.
  • Costing task orders and populating cost models.
  • Supporting with forecasting, budgeting, WIP and reporting.
  • Support the Finance Manager with Ad-hoc tasks.

REPORTING

This role reports to the Finance Manager and offers flexible working.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Sales invoices are produced to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and within deadlines.
  • Month end data is analysed in detail and areas of potential risk are highlighted.
  • Key information and data are accurately maintained, including project teams, clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word skills.
  • CIMA/ACCA/AAT or previous experience within an equivalent Finance role.
  • UK Security Clearance must be obtained - Therefore UK nationals only.
  • Previous experience within a Business Partnering role would be desirable.
