Join to apply for the Finance Analyst - Defence role at Turner & Townsend. Turner & Townsend are seeking a Finance Analyst to support their delivery of works in Defence. The role sits within a fast‑moving vibrant team that provides support to a range of projects and joint ventures. The individual will be a self‑starter who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders and brings financial process delivery experience and Excel capability.

Main Purpose of Role

  • Carry out all financial administration related to Turner & Townsend Defence projects, in liaison with the Finance Manager.
  • Manage and analyse a high volume of sales invoices with acute attention to detail.
  • Support with Project set‑up on D365.
  • Chase aged debts to ensure timely cash collection and reconciliation for all cash receipts.
  • Check, reconcile and receive supplier invoices.
  • Gather data from various sources, including databases and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting.
  • Present financial data to stakeholders clearly and concisely using visualisations, dashboards and reports.
  • Coordinate collation of timesheets, project deliverables and client approvals to support invoicing.
  • Prepare purchase orders and sub‑contract agreements.
  • Deal first‑hand with financial/project queries from the client and suppliers.
  • Costing task orders and populating cost models.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, WIP and reporting.
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad‑hoc tasks.

Reporting

This role reports to the Finance Manager and offers flexible working.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Sales invoices are produced to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and within deadlines.
  • Month‑end data is analysed in detail and areas of potential risk are highlighted.
  • Key information and data are accurately maintained.
  • Promote and encourage positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word skills.
  • CIMA/ACCA/AAT or previous experience within an equivalent finance role.
  • Previous experience within a business partnering role would be desirable.

Security Clearance
