Join to apply for the Finance Analyst - Defence role at Turner & Townsend. Turner & Townsend are seeking a Finance Analyst to support their delivery of works in Defence. The role sits within a fast‑moving vibrant team that provides support to a range of projects and joint ventures. The individual will be a self‑starter who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders and brings financial process delivery experience and Excel capability.
Main Purpose of Role
- Carry out all financial administration related to Turner & Townsend Defence projects, in liaison with the Finance Manager.
- Manage and analyse a high volume of sales invoices with acute attention to detail.
- Support with Project set‑up on D365.
- Chase aged debts to ensure timely cash collection and reconciliation for all cash receipts.
- Check, reconcile and receive supplier invoices.
- Gather data from various sources, including databases and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting.
- Present financial data to stakeholders clearly and concisely using visualisations, dashboards and reports.
- Coordinate collation of timesheets, project deliverables and client approvals to support invoicing.
- Prepare purchase orders and sub‑contract agreements.
- Deal first‑hand with financial/project queries from the client and suppliers.
- Costing task orders and populating cost models.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, WIP and reporting.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad‑hoc tasks.
Reporting
This role reports to the Finance Manager and offers flexible working.
Key Performance Indicators
- Sales invoices are produced to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and within deadlines.
- Month‑end data is analysed in detail and areas of potential risk are highlighted.
- Key information and data are accurately maintained.
- Promote and encourage positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, clients and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word skills.
- CIMA/ACCA/AAT or previous experience within an equivalent finance role.
- Previous experience within a business partnering role would be desirable.
Security Clearance
