We provide Commercial, Procurement and Cost Management Services to a wide range of clients out of over 110 offices worldwide, operating in various sectors including Defence, Government, Rail, Utilities, Transport, Education, Local Authorities and Health.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Bid Writer to play a key role within our Major Bids Team. Working closely with Bid Directors, Bid Managers, subject matter experts, and the wider business, this role is critical to support Turner & Townsend’s strategic growth through the development of high‑quality, compelling bid submissions. The Major Bids Team works on our largest, complex, multi-disciplinary bids in areas of strategic growth. The Bid Writer will contribute to major bids by shaping clear, persuasive written responses and ensuring our value proposition is articulated effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing and developing technical bid responses, ensuring compliance with ITT requirements and timescales.
- Incorporate local knowledge, research, evidence, and Turner & Townsend brand‑aligned writing style to ensure responses are targeted, compelling, and aligned to client needs.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent and coherent final submission aligned to scoring criteria.
- Lead and facilitate content planning sessions and storyboarding to establish structure, flow, and key messages across major responses.
- Ensure submissions are prepared for internal quality assurance and governance processes.
- Analyse completed bids to identify high‑scoring content and contribute to the development of a best‑practice response library.
- Contribute openly to the team with ideas and innovations to support continuous improvement.
