We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our expanding Project Management Infrastructure business in the Midlands, and help to drive growth across the region.
Main Purpose of the Role
- Lead and co‑ordinate project activities, ensuring good communication and adherence to governance processes.
- Deliver great outcomes for our clients, every time, everywhere.
- Drive exceptional delivery, health & safety, commercial, risk management and quality performance on infrastructure projects.
- Be heavily involved in winning new work and developing a team of Project Managers.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
- Ensure quality, safety, health and environmental issues are communicated to the appropriate line manager.
- Implement effective project governance, processes and systems to be used throughout the project.
- Produce detailed project plans and advise on the procurement of resources.
- Lead and facilitate the overall cross‑functional project team.
- Monitor and apply performance management techniques and manage the change control process.
- Monitor and advise on project finances and manage the flow of project information between the team and the client.
- Prepare formal project progress reports and take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
- Assist in the production of bid documentation.
- Ensure prompt client invoicing and use the internal financial management system to monitor project finances.
- Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes and refer ideas to the appropriate line manager.
Qualifications
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects (rail, highways, utilities, aviation and power).
- Preferred if the NEC accreditation is in place.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (civil engineering/construction).
