The Opportunity The individual will work and lead our highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services to some of the larger brands and on the most exciting programmes and projects. This role will be a part of our growing Contract Services team and play a significant part in the continued expansion of our team and our services in this exciting period of growth, such as Sustainable Procurement, Transformation, Renewables, Digital Procurement and Net Zero Strategies.
Main Expectations Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients.Lead and manage end to end procurement services on major projects or programmes.Lead and support the development of the procurement services provided by Turner & Townsend.Lead and develop a team to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.Managing client relationships and related commission outputs and deliverables.Lead and support business development and marketing of the Contract Services team\’s service proposition.Lead on bid preparation and proposal documentation and support the work winning capability of the contract services division.Support the delivery of both team and wider business targets.The Offer Turner & Townsend will offer the right candidate a distinct opportunity to progress their career within an entrepreneurial, defined and growing division. Qualifications Experience and Qualifications:Experience in and/or knowledge of regulated procurement, in particular Public Contract Regulations 2015 with an awareness of the Green Paper and potential changes to the public procurement regime.Leading strategic major procurement projects or programmes for Public and Private sector clients.A strong background in tender preparation, development and management ideally including negotiation.Commission, client relationship, and people managementExperience of developing and using various forms of contracts with particular focus on NEC and JCT.Cross sector experience with a strong public procurement background is highly desirable,Have achieved, working towards or willing to work towards MCIPs accreditation.Business generation including bid developmentPreferably possess degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement.Preferably possess experience working in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure (roads, rail etc) sectors(SC) Security Clearance – currently valid or could be reinstatedSkills:Ability to lead and develop key strategies and documentation for major procurement projects that complies with Public Sector Regulations or equivalent.Able to manage and supervise the delivery of others for a successful outcome.Able to build strong, professional client relationships and proactively identify and resolve client\’s issues.Excellent communication skills, adaptable, with a determination to succeed.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders and develop ongoing relationshipsAble to develop supplier evaluation and commercial principles and modelling strategies.Able to develop Supply Chain Intelligence strategies and analysis.Able to develop Supplier Relationship Management strategies and activities.Able to manage work/business development/career development activities.Excellent attention to detail.Behaviours Adaptable and taking personal responsibility to succeed.Confident, independent and trustworthy, able to influence individuals at all levels.Collaborative and with the ability to develop/manage a team and individuals efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.Encouraging and empathetic whilst also fair and consistent when supporting individuals.Additional Information Our people share our Purpose and Values.
