Based in either our London or Leeds office, we are recruiting for a privacy and AI governance specialist to join our Risk Management team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will primarily focus on building out our AI governance program and supporting the global privacy and data protection programme.
Responsibilities
- Support Turner & Townsend's AI compliance program, with a focus on maintaining data and AI inventories and maps to ensure compliance with applicable AI laws and regulations.
- Perform other tasks related to supporting Turner & Townsend's data governance and AI compliance programs as reasonably required.
- Collaborate with different business teams to enhance the data retention and destruction program.
- Promote adoption of privacy and data governance best practices through training and education initiatives.
- Foster a culture of data responsibility and compliance by promoting data literacy and awareness across all levels of the organization.
- Champion innovation in data governance by identifying and implementing cutting-edge solutions to address emerging enterprise-level data challenges.
- Report to the Global Privacy and Data Protection Director (based in London) and interface with Global Privacy, Risk Management, Regional operational business, central services teams such as finance, HR and IT, and other related risk roles.
- Possibly be responsible for SOX control aspects where applicable.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of AI, data architectures, governance frameworks, data warehousing, data integrity, stewardship practices.
- Strong understanding of AI, data protection, privacy, and data governance regulatory requirements.
- Privacy and project management experience, ideally from a professional background such as legal finance, audit, etc.
- Ability to assess risks, articulate issues, build consensus, and implement effective solutions.
- Ideally hold a Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience in privacy, data governance, data quality management, electronic information systems, and/or compliance in a multinational organization.
- Ideally hold relevant qualifications such as AIGP, CIPM, CIPP.
