In this role you will manage and deliver cost control for major energy, power and infrastructure programmes. You will work with high-profile clients and cross-functional teams to monitor budgets, forecast costs and manage contract change. You’ll drive value engineering and ensure governance, aiming to deliver projects within objectives and budget. Responsibilities
- Administer a variety of contracts in line with project objectives and policies
- Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion within budget
- Proactively monitor cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver deliverables, KPIs and objectives
- Manage contract change effectively while maintaining governance and best practices
- Drive improvements in forecast and budget accuracy
- Support programme performance and value engineering initiatives
- Contribute to risk and opportunity management within cost controls
Key requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant subject (ideally)
- Experience on major programmes and projects
- Experience in Infrastructure or Energy sectors (Rail, ports, utilities, oil & gas, wind, nuclear, carbon capture)
- Contract Management knowledge (NEC3, Option C or NEC4 preferred)
- Ability to administer cost management processes and governance
