The Bid Coordinator will be responsible for delivering high quality, critical bids for the Turner & Townsend Asia business. This is a critical bid role requiring knowledge of bid best practice (Shipley, APMP) and strong stakeholder management capabilities. To succeed, the successful candidate will operate at a hands-on level to deliver complex bids at both an Asia-wide level or specific to key markets. They will be confident in delivering quality bids, working with a wide group of stakeholders, able to rapidly build trust, and have an outcome-focused, can-do mindset.

In addition to bid delivery, they will support critical projects, libraries and toolkits which enable effective and efficient work winning. This role will focus on major bids; expertise delivering major complex proposals in the real estate sector will be highly advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Apply the Turner & Townsend bid to win process to plan and execute high quality proposals, tenders and bid responses. This includes reviewing procurement documentation, leading bid go/no go discussions, and formulating a clear plan for delivering a compelling offer.
  • Support the bid manager by mobilising internal stakeholders, setting timelines and overseeing execution against the plan.
  • Contribute to discussions focused on differentiators, win themes and content to ensure high quality answers are developed (storyboarding).
  • Work with Director, BG leadership and other functional teams to deliver tender responses through collation of information, writing tender responses directly, or supporting others to produce quality responses.
  • Work with external organisations and partners to develop and deliver bids and proposals.
  • Positively challenge senior stakeholders and colleagues to maintain bid momentum and progress.
  • Deliver consistently professional, high quality bids that comply with brand guidelines and clearly and succinctly communicate key messages.
  • Provide constructive feedback or escalate concerns to senior leadership and partner organisations throughout the bid and interview process.
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met and that bids are submitted on time, and in the correct manner.
  • Support pre-bid activities that support high conversion and business development activity. Examples include undertaking competitor research, market analysis or interrogating client feedback.
  • Support preparation of other deliverables related to conversion and work winning, such as interview presentation coaching and procurement team engagement.
  • Support the adoption and evolution of bid tools and methodology, driving continuous improvement and approaches which drive efficiency in ‘business as usual’ bids with other bid professionals.
  • Report on pipeline and bid conversion, including providing analysis and commentary on trends.
  • Contribute to content libraries and best practice approaches by overseeing maintenance of content and bid libraries.
  • Build understanding and capability of bidding in our Asia-based team.
  • Work alongside a team of existing bid professionals.
  • Support Business Development with other activities, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Business, Marketing, English or engineering.
  • Association of Proposal Management Professional (APMP) accreditation desired, or willing to be completed.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience of bid management and writing successful bid submissions.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Word.
  • Proofreading skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail, including ensuring responses adhere to word/page limits (essential).
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality (essential).
  • Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing and ability to foster credible collaborative relationships (essential).
  • Team player who is willing to adapt to changing priorities of the business (essential).
  • Contribute openly to the team with innovations and ideas to ensure the success and development of the company.
