Role and Responsibilities
- Lead power transmission business development and project delivery across Asia, with an initial focus on Southeast Asia, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Develop and implement the Asia power transmission business plan in alignment with Turner & Townsend's strategic vision and objectives.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with owners, developers, utilities and other relevant stakeholders.
- Driving revenue growth by setting and delivering the P&L targets for the transmission sector across Asia.
- Be the technical lead for relevant pursuits and proposals.
- Lead transmission sector business generation, and sales execution within Asia.
- Build and maintain relationships with key transmission and utilities stakeholders, including developers, owners, clients, and government agencies.
- Initiating and determining execution partnerships with industry partners.
- Drive innovation and best practice in power transmission project management and execution.
- Oversee the recruitment and development of a high-performing power transmission delivery team.
- Collaborate and coordinate power transmission activities with other global, regional, and functional leads and SMEs.
- Build the team and mentor, supervise and coordinate the power transmission Asia team.
- Expected to be based in SE Asia and to travel throughout Asia.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience (15 years minimum) in the power Transmission / Utility sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery of major utility infrastructure.
- Experience in client‑facing roles, ability to provide robust advice and support projects through clear communication of project status, issues and risks.
- Experience working within the consultancy arena e.g., Owner Engineer, Independent Certifier, Lender Technical Advisor selling into the Asia market.
- In‑depth knowledge of SE Asia’s (and preferably Asia overall) energy market and regulatory environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
