To deliver CDM and H&S consultancy services from our clients’ office in Weybridge, Surrey. Requirement is 2 days a week for the duration of the contract. The responsibility of services delivered are flexible depending upon the Client’s requirements, covering CDM as an experienced Principal Designer. The key requirements of the role are to understand the Clients’ needs and proactively identify solutions to their challenges and ensure consistent delivery of service excellence in meeting their needs and expectations.
- Understand and develop existing systems and processes to improve both CDM and H&S efficiency.
- Provide expert advice as a Principal Designer and help the client manage and understand their legal responsibilities, in accordance with CDM regulations.
- Establish positive relations with existing and new Clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate.
- Representing Turner & Townsend in a professional and diligent manner including meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with Clients in a timely manner.
- Management of all commissions, where responsibility is assigned, to ensure both Client's expectations / scope of service and the requirements of Turner & Townsend’s business management system are effectively discharged.
- Carrying out H&S performance reviews, audits etc. on behalf of the Client.
- Liaise, proactively and professionally, with SHQ, and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness; support others as needed and ensure consistency, quality and profitability of shared projects.
- Compiling and creating relevant pre-construction information and relevant H&S files.

- Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations –(Essential)

Education and Professional Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence -(Essential)
- GradIOSH or equivalent –(Desired)
- Membership of the APS -(Desired)
- Experience in Engineering or Science -(Desired)
