Full-time position in the Department of Infrastructure at Turner & Townsend. This role supports clients in delivering high‑profile projects across infrastructure, focusing on water and environmental resilience.
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure projects and programmes across the entire project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery to client objectives.
- Lead and develop project teams or work streams within larger projects or programmes.
- Provide contract management, financial management and project controls, including health, safety, quality and environmental management.
- Build long‑term trusted relationships with clients and partner organisations.
- Communicate effectively with senior client representatives and manage several work streams simultaneously.
- Apply problem‑solving, analytical and numerical skills to shape complex challenges into workable solutions.
- Drive solutions under pressure, motivating others to achieve deliverables.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in infrastructure project or programme management across the project lifecycle.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical, problem‑solving and numerical ability.
- Planning, communication and organisational skills.
- Experience managing several work streams simultaneously.
- Degree or HND in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience.
- Professional affiliation or near‑qualified status with APM, ICE, CIWEM or similar.
- Project management certification (APM, PRINCE2, MSP).
Beneficial Experience
- Experience of utilities/water infrastructure project management.
- Experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with public sector organisations, non‑departmental or arm’s‑length bodies relevant to infrastructure.
- NEC PM accreditations or qualifications.
