Full-time Department: Defence

Only UK Nationals eligible for UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). Existing SC desirable. Important: Due to the sensitive nature of these projects, you must be a sole UK National who can achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC).

Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for Project Managers to join our busy and expanding London Defence Infrastructure business, supporting our clients to deliver a range of construction infrastructure projects and programmes across the South East and nationally. Owing to the complex nature of the works involved, this role will suit Project Managers from a Defence, Rail, Water/Utilities or Highways background with proven experience and understanding of the processes. NEC accreditation is also preferred.

Project Managers handle commissions of varying sizes, typically £1m to £10m range; supporting roles may involve larger projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.
  • Provide support on major Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for an aspect of service delivery.
  • Ensure that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and appropriate quality standards.
  • Support clients as they transition to Net Zero and address wider sustainability changes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with a focus on NEC contracts.
  • Expertise in NEC/JCT/FIDIC contract administration.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
  • Self‑motivation and strategic problem‑solving abilities.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders within the framework of NEC contracts.
  • Knowledge of CDM/site health and safety as it pertains to NEC contracts.
  • Degree qualified in an infrastructure or construction related subject.
  • Preferred if chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS etc.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role where applicable.
