Due to increased opportunities and demand in the Energy & Natural Resources division, the Energy & Natural Resources team are recruiting Project Managers to join a diverse and supportive team during a period of significant growth. Our nuclear client is at the forefront of industry leading change, and we are keen to speak to individuals with project management experience to see what Turner & Townsend can offer you.
MAIN PURPOSE
To support client-side delivery of balance of plant systems, acting as an intelligent client to ensure integration, coordination, and performance across mechanical and utility packages.
SCOPE
Oversees owner’s scope mechanical and utility systems, managing interfaces across vendors, infrastructure, and commissioning while controlling cost, schedule, and risk within a regulated programme.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Project management, to include:
- Support delivery of balance of plant systems (HVAC, utilities, water, etc.)
- Act as intelligent client across vendors, advisers, and supply chain
- Manage interfaces between plant systems, infrastructure, and commissioning
- Maintain schedules, budgets, risks, and reporting for assigned scope
- Administer contracts, including change control and supplier performance
- Coordinate with engineering, commercial, and project controls functions
- Ensure compliance with governance, safety, and quality requirements
Internal management accountabilities, to include:
- Staff management (where appropriate) – Inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Project Manager or small project management team, input into resource management and attendance at junior staff appraisals
- Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database
- Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes
Degree qualified in relevant discipline
Working towards a professional qualification (MCIOB / APM or similar)
Proven experience managing HT&M projects, ideally in a consultancy environment
Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
Will be able to obtain BPSS level security clearance.
