Are you an inspiring leader with the vision and drive to lead complex programmes to success? We are seeking a Programme Director to spearhead a high-profile commission, setting the strategic direction while empowering and motivating the programme team to achieve excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and drive the programme vision, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Lead the framework for programme management and control, guaranteeing transparency and confidence for stakeholders.
  • Implement a structured stakeholder engagement and management process, building strong relationships with senior clients (C‑Suite), Boards, Steering Groups, Investors and supplier stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial governance, ensuring robust financial reporting and management across the programme.
  • Identify and mitigate health and safety risks, enforcing safeguards to protect all involved in programme delivery.
  • Deliver excellent commission management, ensuring compliance with governance and risk management requirements while maintaining contractual deliverables and instilling confidence in Turner & Townsend’s Executive body.
About You
  • Proven experience delivering high‑profile, large‑scale, complex transformation/real estate programmes (circa £250‑£500m) with demonstrable achievement of tangible benefits and outcomes for clients/employers.
  • Comfortable leading the full programme lifecycle end to end, as well as intervening at specific stages requiring expertise or recovery leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, operating as a trusted partner and critical friend to clients.
  • An expert practitioner of industry best practice programme management methodologies, preferably within a real‑estate environment.
  • Confident in engaging senior internal and external stakeholders, navigating the most senior decision‑making environments.
  • A first‑class people manager, dedicated to nurturing talent within the organisation and supporting professional growth among clients’ teams.
Qualifications
  • Strong and current understanding of portfolio/programme management requirements and how it relates to real estate.
  • Proven ability to work in relevant portfolio/programme management process and systems.
  • Awareness/experience of variety of methods of procurement and forms of contract.
  • Excellent communication skills, in person and written.
  • Degree / Postgraduate qualified in a relevant field.
