The Senior Planning Engineer will work as part of the project controls team, providing performance reporting and analysis support. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cost and planning engineers to develop comprehensive work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines
- Establishing and implementing progress and cost monitoring methodologies
- Producing project control reports and delivering performance analysis with actionable recommendations to clients
- Serving as the primary day-to-day contact point with clients on assigned projects
- Managing earned value analysis, progress updates, and cost control activities
- Overseeing change control and baseline management processes
- Delivering clear and timely reporting to stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate thorough understanding and proven experience in the following areas:
- Earned value analysis
- Progress updating and tracking
- Cost control and management
- Change control procedures
- Baseline management
- Project reporting and performance analysis
- Project controls on major construction projects or programmes
Qualifications: You will be expected to be numerate and computer literate, highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, planning software such as Primavera and utilising reporting databases. You will also be familiar with financial/procurement systems such as Oracle and SAP and web-based project control tools. Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with some relevant work experience or previous proven experience in a project control environment. Senior Planners should be proactive, self-starters with well developed communications and analytical skills.
