Important: Eligibility To apply you must be a sole UK national able to achieve and maintain a UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). Existing SC is desirable.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Senior Commercial experience in procurement, contract management, or placement.
  • Ability to identify suitable commercial approaches, assess trade‑offs and risk mitigation.
  • Understanding and use of programme, portfolio and project management tools.
  • Decision ownership at tender evaluation stage with commercial judgement.
  • Development and assurance of business cases, commercial strategies and contracting approaches.
  • Implementation of effective contract and supplier management strategies to maximise value.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading teams and providing strategic direction.
  • Experience dealing with clients on complex and contentious issues; ability to chair senior stakeholder meetings.
  • Supplier and category management experience.
  • Background in government procurement processes (Single Source, Competitive).
  • Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, JCT contracts.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Law, Project Management or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • Training or experience with Defence and Security Public Contracting Regulations (DSPCR), Public Contract Regulations (PCR) and/or the Procurement Act 2023.

Working in teams / Site attendance Hybrid working to support work‑life balance. Approximately 60 % of time on client sites or offices, flexible depending on requirements.

Security Clearance

Must be a sole UK national capable of achieving and maintaining UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). Eligibility may be affected by nationality, birth place, etc. Further details are available on the UK Government website for security vetting clearance levels.
