Full-time Department: Defence

Important: You must be a UK national and able to achieve and maintain U.K. MoD Security Clearance (SC).

Overview: You will work directly with Defence clients supporting them in delivering outcomes across the end-to-end commercial lifecycle. The role involves a mix of procurement and commercial strategy, contract management, risk, negotiation, compliance, business analysis and supplier relationship management.

  • Governance and Compliance, internal policy and legal frameworks
  • Business Analysis and Problem Solving
  • Supplier Relationship and Category Management

Qualifications:

  • Applied knowledge of procurement principles and practices with experience of procurement, contract management and/or contract placement (sourcing).
  • Ability to identify and manage risk through procurement/commercial tools and strategies.
  • Understanding of programme, portfolio and project management tools.
  • Experience supporting procurement and tendering processes, applying commercial expertise and judgement.
  • Proactive monitoring of supplier performance, applying strategies to maximise value, incentivise performance and drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Background in Government Procurement processes such as Single Source and Competitive.
  • Knowledge and experience of NEC, FIDIC and/or JCT contracts.
  • Professional qualification in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Law, Project Management or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Training or experience in Defence and Security Public Contracting Regulations (DSPCR), Public Contract Regulations (PCR) and/or the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Experience with SOX control responsibilities may be beneficial.

Work Environment: Hybrid working is supported and employees are expected to be on site 60% of the time, but this may vary with client and business requirements.
