We are seeking an experienced Procurement Leader to support our clients developing groundbreaking Carbon Capture and other low‑carbon major programmes across the UK. The role will involve delivering major capital programmes and projects to provide sustainable energy solutions for customers and the community.
The role provides an opportunity to work with and lead highly skilled teams to deliver industry leading programmes and projects advice to large global brands on transformational energy investments.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading procurement engagements across multiple programmes and projects, helping clients progress towards green, sustainable outcomes.
- Operating as an industry expert with hands‑on experience in the carbon capture and oil & gas sectors and their contracting models.
- Delivering and continually improving client performance and meeting targets across key capital procurement themes.
- Driving the development of procurement services and growing a team to support this objective.
- Providing leadership and driving business generation, service excellence, operational and people‑based growth objectives.
- Serving as a business leader, coach, developer of talent, and exemplar of Turner & Townsend’s leadership behaviours.
Qualifications & Experience
- Knowledge and experience embedding excellence into end‑to‑end procurement activities.
- Major capital programmes and projects procurement experience.
- Development and implementation of complex contracting strategies for onshore and offshore environments with multiple interfaces and EPC contracting arrangements.
- Experience with relevant industry contract terms and models (EPC, FIDIC, LOGIC, etc.).
- Management of the entire procurement lifecycle from strategy to contract close‑out.
- Supply chain intelligence and strategy, and supply chain management.
- Background in Carbon Capture or Oil & Gas desirable but not essential.
- Preferred degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management, or related disciplines.
- Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply (or working towards/able to work towards).
- Security Clearance (SC) – currently valid or could be reinstated, not essential.
- Experience in responsible sourcing areas including human rights, environment, health and safety, anti‑bribery & corruption, and labour practices.
- Strong understanding of the UK and international energy sector, related technologies and regulatory environments.
