Job Description
The Programme Change Control Lead will work within the central Programme Management Office (PMO) developing and rolling out the programme level change control process.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and Embedding Processes :
- Working within the Programme Management Office (PMO) core team to develop and embed change and trend processes across the programme aligned to the Programme Controls Strategy and programme delegations of authority
- Integrating the programme change control process with the digital strategy, developing the requirements for a change control system and embedding that across the programme
- Integrating the processes across all areas of the programme baseline and delivery functions, including technical, financial, schedule, scope, commercial and risk
- Ensuring the programme change control process is embedded at both the programme and project (scheme) levels
- Maintaining Baseline Integrity :
- Ensuring consistency of change control across the programme and driving timely approval or rejection of proposals
- Maintaining a change log and reporting authorised changes
- Managing Change Control Processes :
- Ensuring that the operational issues of the programme controls are managed, focusing on the project interface with project leaders, project managers, project teams, and interface issues
- Managing the change control processes and ensuring lessons are learned and trends monitored
- Supporting Strategic Decisions :
- Supporting the programme leadership in making strategic delivery decisions based on programme-level data
- Ensuring the timely submission of data to support the reporting process
- Aligning the process with risk management, supporting identification, management and mitigation of risk and realisation of opportunities
- Developing the team
- Developing a resourcing plan and building, then leading, the team that will manage the change control process
- Building relationships with key stakeholders across the programme, acting as a champion for the process
Qualifications
- Proven relevant experience in a leadership role in a project management or project controls environment
- Experience of leading the management of change management methodologies and techniques across major programmes
- Experience of rolling out new processes across matrix organisations
- A good understanding of project controls and NEC
- Previous experience on a major construction project
- Ability to build lasting client relationships
- Digitally savvy
