The Turner & Townsend Performance Analytics team are a central data function within Turner & Townsend’s Energy & Natural Resources division. They are responsible for delivering custom data solutions to clients and engineering internal enterprise data to power insights and intelligence. The Performance Analytics team interface with and deliver Turner & Townsend’s custom-built cloud software platform, the Hive. The Hive is a cloud platform hosting applications we’ve built. It integrates industry software we use, and acts as our repository (or data warehouse) for our service delivery data. The Hive platform is core to our approach for delivering data solutions to clients in Energy & Natural Resources.
Our Hive for Clients offering in Energy & Natural Resources delivers bespoke data deployments of the software directly to clients via Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) arrangements. Clients can leverage our digital innovations and build an independent version of the Hive to support their capital delivery programmes and portfolios. The Performance Analytics team are responsible for planning, developing, and delivering clients’ data platforms in close collaboration with client stakeholders, and the ongoing management, support and continuous improvement of client deployments once in flight. This is an opportunity to support our Performance Analytics team as they scale deployments of the Hive to Energy & Natural Resources clients in a range of sectors. This will involve building the reach and depth of data in client and internal platforms, planning and implementing client product and service roadmaps, and developing a leading insights engine to support management information for the platforms. We want to make Energy & Natural Resources Hive deployments our business’s leading data offering by capturing industry-leading data into platforms and leveraging the data’s potential by driving adoption and insights.
Responsibilities
- This role blends project management and data analyst skills.
- The role’s remit includes management of historical project information, innovating data capture in the Hive platform, delivering insight and support to a range of clients, maximising client experience and user adoption and using feedback to develop actionable insights to guide future developments of the Hive platform.
Qualifications
Required experience:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience defining and developing requirements with project stakeholders.
- Passion for high quality data, a client-experience-led mindset and attention to detail.
- Data interrogation, analysis and document management skills.
- Proactivity in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance productivity and the quality of project outputs.
- Ability to turn data into valuable, actionable insight to inform key decision making.
- Understanding of project cost management and/or estimating.
Nice to have skills:
- Google BigQuery/ SQL-based querying tools.
- Power BI, DAX and Power Query.
