We are seeking a Senior MEP Cost Manager specialising in Data Centres to join our team in London, United Kingdom. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in complex data centre projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for MEP systems in data centre projects
- Analyse and report on cost variances, providing recommendations for cost optimisation
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effective design solutions
- Prepare and manage tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies
- Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Oversee change management processes and negotiate contract variations
- Provide expert advice on MEP systems and their associated costs to clients and stakeholders
- Monitor and forecast project cash flows
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Mentor and guide junior team members in MEP cost management practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certification from a recognised body such as RICS or CIOB
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in MEP cost management, with a focus on data centre projects
- Advanced knowledge of MEP systems and data centre infrastructure
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Causeway)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to MEP systems and data centres
