Pathway Overview

Kickstart your Building Surveying career with our comprehensive placement. Designed specifically for graduates, this Industrial Placement programme is up to 12 months long and provides you with the opportunity to work with market leaders and specialists in their field who will share invaluable knowledge and experience with you. As part of our Real Estate department, you\\\’ll spend 12 months immersed within our building surveying teams, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of building surveying disciplines. This includes exposure to dilapidations, technical due diligence, development monitoring, and project management, working with a variety of property types and sectors.

What You’ll Do

  • Conducting building inspections and surveys
  • Preparing detailed reports on building condition and defects
  • Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders
  • Supporting project teams in the delivery of building projects

Qualifications

  • Academic Credentials: You will need to be studying an RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying (achieved or on track for a 2:1 minimum)
  • Technical Acumen: An understanding of the technical aspects of building surveying, coupled with a genuine interest in the real estate and built environment

Other Requirements

In some regional roles, the ability to drive may be necessary due to the location of client offices. To be considered for roles in the Defence arena, you will need to pass both a Baseline Personnel Security Standard check and UKSV SC clearance. This process will begin once you’ve accepted an offer and confirmed your willingness to undergo the checks. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
