The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

We are looking to recruit a Facilities and Cleaning Officer to join our team at Morehall Primary. The successful candidate will be responsible for locking the school and making all safety checks at the end of the day. Duties will include ad-hoc repairs to the school building and grounds, inspecting and patrolling the school building and grounds, and carrying out cleaning duties. This will involve mopping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying bins, cleaning corridors, toilet areas and all related duties. You will also be required to move furniture and use heavy duty cleaning equipment. You must have a can-do attitude and work well in a team. Previous industrial cleaning essential.

Responsibilities

  • Locking the school and performing end-of-day safety checks.
  • Carrying out cleaning duties (mopping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying bins, cleaning corridors and toilet areas).
  • Inspecting and patrolling the building and grounds.
  • Performing ad-hoc repairs to the school building and grounds.
  • Moving furniture and using heavy-duty cleaning equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience of facilities and operational functions (desirable).
  • Experience of working with, or willing to be trained in the use of Computer Assisted Facilities Management Software (CAPM) (Essential).
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable).
  • Own Transport (Desirable).
  • Be reliable and trustworthy.
  • Previous industrial cleaning essential.

Timings and Start Date: 22.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday 14:00 - 18:30 Term Time + 4 additional weeks (42 weeks per year) Start Date - ASAP.
