Turner Property Recruitment are delighted to be assisting their client in the search for an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established MEP team delivering high-quality design across a diverse project portfolio. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead projects and teams, working across a wide range of sectors including commercial, education, residential and specialist environments. You will take a key role in leading mechanical design delivery, managing project teams and maintaining strong client relationships, while supporting the continued growth of the business.
The Role
- Lead MEP engineering teams delivering a range of design projects
- Act as lead engineer for mechanical building services design from concept through to detailed stages
- Manage project delivery, risk and commercial performance
- Produce and oversee reports, drawings and specifications across RIBA stages
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers and contractors
- Attend client and technical meetings, providing clear and confident advice
- Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and health and safety requirements
About You
- Strong background in mechanical building services design within a consultancy or contractor environment
- Experience leading projects and managing teams
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Chartered or working towards IEng or CEng status
- Proficient in CAD and BIM tools including Revit
- Strong commercial awareness and project management capability
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
