Turner Property Recruitment are delighted to be assisting their client in the search for a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join a growing and technically strong consultancy delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions. This is a key role for an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take ownership of project delivery across a diverse portfolio including life sciences, defence, education, commercial and renewable energy sectors.

You will lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services, working across the full project lifecycle while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Role

  • Lead mechanical design from concept through to completion.
  • Deliver calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.
  • Manage projects or work packages with minimal supervision.
  • Undertake site inspections and support construction stage activities.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
  • Develop sustainable and energy‑efficient design solutions.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Chartered or working towards CEng.
  • Proven experience delivering mechanical design within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulations, standards and building services systems.
  • Proficient in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES and NBS.
  • Experience managing projects and mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
