Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established, independent building consultancy to appoint an Associate Building Surveyor, although experienced Senior Building Surveyors looking to step up will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit and highly regarded team of around seven professionals based in Barnett, delivering a diverse range of projects across the residential, public sector, education, and civic regeneration sectors.

The Role

You will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, acting as a trusted advisor to a varied client base and managing commissions across both professional and project-led instructions. This position would suit an experienced consultancy-side Building Surveyor who enjoys taking responsibility, building client relationships, and leading projects through every stage of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing building surveying projects from initial brief through to completion.
  • Delivering a mix of project and professional building surveying services.
  • Acting as the primary client contact on assigned commissions.
  • Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.
  • Contract administration and project management duties.
  • Supporting junior team members where appropriate.
  • Contributing to business development and client relationship management.

About You

  • MRICS qualified (essential).
  • Proven experience within a building consultancy environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing projects from start to finish.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially aware with excellent communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
