Turner Property Recruitment is exclusively representing a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary property consultancy in London as they seek to appoint a Partner to lead and grow their Building Surveying offering. This role is available due to an internal promotion. This is a senior, strategic appointment with full responsibility for the performance, growth and market positioning of the Building Surveying team. The role is strongly business development–led, suited to an entrepreneurial surveyor with a proven ability to win work, build client relationships and lead from the front.
The Role
- Leading and developing the Building Surveying function within the London office
- Driving business development activity, including generating new instructions, expanding existing client relationships and raising the profile of the consultancy in the London market
- Developing and implementing a clear growth strategy for the Building Surveying team, aligned with wider business objectives
- Acting as a key client-facing figure, maintaining senior-level relationships across commercial, mixed-use and development‑led portfolios
- Delivering high‑level professional and project‑based Building Surveying services where required
- Working collaboratively with other disciplines to maximise cross‑selling and multi‑service opportunities
- Recruiting, mentoring and developing surveyors as the team grows
- Contributing to wider leadership, financial performance and strategic decision‑making at Partner level
About You
- MRICS qualified with extensive Building Surveying experience
- Operating at Associate Director/Director/Partner level, or ready to step up
- Demonstrable track record of business development and fee generation
- Strong existing client network within the London property market
- Commercially astute, entrepreneurial and growth‑focused
- Confident leader with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑management skills
