Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Programme Manager for their growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious quantity surveying professional who is looking to take on a strategic leadership role, combining project delivery with team management and business growth across the North West region.
You will work across a varied portfolio of projects including:
- New build low rise housing
- High rise cladding remediation schemes
- Restoration and refurbishment of listed buildings
- Complex residential and mixed-use developments
Alongside project responsibilities, you will play a key role in expanding the consultancy’s Quantity Surveying offering across the North West, developing client relationships, winning new work, and leading a high-performing team.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor/Programme Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Delivering an exceptional level of client service across all commissions
- Growing the Cost Consultancy service line throughout the North West
- Acting as Employer’s Agent on projects
- Undertaking site visits and chairing client and project meetings
- Preparing Employer’s Requirements and contract documentation
- Producing budget estimates, cost plans, and valuations
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Quantity Surveyors
- Delegating workloads effectively while maintaining overall responsibility for delivery
- Supporting business development and securing new instructions
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc, MSc or equivalent)
- MRICS or equivalent professional membership
- Strong core quantity surveying and commercial management skills
- Proven experience managing programmes of work and complex contracts
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management ability
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and grow teams
- APMP certification would be advantageous but is not essential
