Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Programme Manager for their growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious quantity surveying professional who is looking to take on a strategic leadership role, combining project delivery with team management and business growth across the North West region.

You will work across a varied portfolio of projects including:

  • New build low rise housing
  • High rise cladding remediation schemes
  • Restoration and refurbishment of listed buildings
  • Complex residential and mixed-use developments

Alongside project responsibilities, you will play a key role in expanding the consultancy’s Quantity Surveying offering across the North West, developing client relationships, winning new work, and leading a high-performing team.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor/Programme Manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering an exceptional level of client service across all commissions
  • Growing the Cost Consultancy service line throughout the North West
  • Acting as Employer’s Agent on projects
  • Undertaking site visits and chairing client and project meetings
  • Preparing Employer’s Requirements and contract documentation
  • Producing budget estimates, cost plans, and valuations
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Quantity Surveyors
  • Delegating workloads effectively while maintaining overall responsibility for delivery
  • Supporting business development and securing new instructions

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc, MSc or equivalent)
  • MRICS or equivalent professional membership
  • Strong core quantity surveying and commercial management skills
  • Proven experience managing programmes of work and complex contracts
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management ability
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and grow teams
  • APMP certification would be advantageous but is not essential
