Turner Property Recruitment are delighted to be assisting their client in the search for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing MEP design team delivering high-quality building services projects across a range of sectors.
This is a delivery-focused role suited to an experienced Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working across the full design lifecycle, from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. You will work closely with senior engineers, multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver coordinated, compliant and technically robust mechanical design solutions.
The Role
- Deliver mechanical building services design including heating, ventilation, cooling and domestic water systems
- Produce and review calculations, drawings and technical specifications
- Support projects from concept through to detailed design and construction
- Coordinate mechanical systems with other disciplines including electrical, structural and architectural teams
- Contribute to tender and construction packages, including responding to contractor queries
- Undertake site surveys and provide commentary on existing mechanical systems
- Carry out site inspections and monitor installation quality
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Experience delivering mechanical design within a consultancy or design and build environment
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance
- Proficient in design software such as IES, Revit and AutoCAD
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Working towards professional registration with CIBSE or IMechE
