Turner Property Recruitment is proud to be working with a growing and highly respected property consultancy seeking an experienced Chartered Senior Surveyor to join their expanding Manchester team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious surveying professional looking to work across both advisory and project-led instructions, with exposure to a diverse range of high-value schemes across the North West, North East, and Midlands.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a broad mix of professional and project work, with a particular focus on managing projects from inception through to completion. You will act as Contract Administrator, Lead Consultant, or Project Manager across multiple schemes simultaneously. Projects typically range from £500k to £10m and include:

  • External refurbishment and renovation works
  • Internal common parts upgrades
  • Private residential refurbishment projects
  • Major façade remediation schemes
  • Design and specification-led projects

Alongside project delivery, you will also undertake core professional building surveying duties including:

  • Defect diagnosis and reporting
  • Planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Landlord & tenant matters
  • Reinstatement cost assessments
  • Party wall matters
  • General professional consultancy advice

Candidates from a Quantity Surveying background may also be considered where strong project management, cost consultancy, and contract administration expertise can complement broader surveying experience.

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded and technically capable professional who can confidently lead projects and build strong client relationships. You will ideally have:

  • MRICS qualification (or equivalent chartered status)
  • Strong experience delivering refurbishment and construction projects
  • Excellent knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts
  • Exposure to NEC contracts and various procurement routes
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate project teams
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach
